I grew up with Doraemon, and the cartoon series has taught me a lot.

The movie has entertaining story plots. It’s a fun show that engages kids’ creativity with “what if” gadgets. The show follows a formula, starting with Nobita’s problems (usually caused by himself); Doraemon’s gadget solving the problem, but is then misused and thus causing another problem. Every once in a while, the movie will break out from the formula, and teach deeper, more emotional values. I remember a couple episodes about Nobita dealing with loss, or going back in time to meet his late grandma, or the one where Doraemon is going back to the future. I didn’t like these episodes when I was a kid. As an adult now looking back, however, I appreciate what the author has done. These are the really weighty episodes with complex emotions.

Besides, it does teach friendship. All the main characters have flawed personalities, but the group of friends have learned to accept each other regardless. Nobita is a whiny, lazy kid, and Doraemon is a good buddy who bails him out in most cases.

Harry Potter is one of my favorite movies. I have loved it since it was held in the theater years ago. Based on the best seller fiction written by JK.Rowling, the movie makes it real. This movie was about Harry Potter, he is a wizard born in the dark days of the wizardry world. His parents died at the hand of Voldemort, the dark lord. During his journey, he experienced a lot: happiness, sadness, live and death moments, etc. At last, he finally beat Voldermort and became a great auror like his parents. This movie taught me many things. The most important thing for me is that love and friendship will always be there for those who deserve it and fight for it. I’d recommend this movie to everyone.

My favorite movie is Titanic. This is the best love story I have ever watched. I watched it many times but I never got tired of watching it. Whenever I watch it, I cry.

Jack and Rose were the main characters in this story. Jack was a poor man but he got a ticket for a luxurious ship, Titanic. He seemed like a lucky man but actually he had bad luck. If he was not on Titanic, he might not die that young. Rose was a rich girl and was engaged to a man. She was not ready to marry him. She met Jack on Titanic and they fell in love. Unfortunately, the ship crashed into an iceberg. Jack was one of the passengers who died. Rose survived the crash thanks to Jack. The story was told by Rose. It was such a beautiful love story, and I believe we all can learn a treasure lesson: Love is beautiful and people sacrifice themselves for love.
